Leg Med (Tokyo). 2025 May 12;75:102632. doi: 10.1016/j.legalmed.2025.102632. Online ahead of print.

ABSTRACT

Diphenidol poisoning suicide cases is increasing in clinic and forensic practice. However, the identification of such cases is still a challenge in forensic practice. The pathological changes in fatal DPN poisoning cases were so obscure, the lethal concentration of DPN in blood was not confirmed, and the other toxins and drugs detected in such cases were the main challenges in forensic identification of DPN. Therefore, we carefully reviewed related update information of DPN, summarized the knowledge from a forensic perspective, and thus provide a reference in such cases and throw light on the further study in the field of DPN poisoning.
