New measures and a national campaign against VSS

ABSTRACT

Gender-based and sexual violence (GSV) affects nearly one in two nurses in France, with major repercussions on the health and careers of professionals and the quality of patient care. In recent years, following on from the #MeToo movement in hospitals, the French National Order of Nurses has stepped up its commitment to combating GSV and, at the start of 2026, is putting forward new proposals and launching a national awareness campaign.
